Ohio TENNIS LESSONS - for beginner kids
If you live in the Hunting Valley Ohio area and you would like to get
your child started with tennis - private lesson are a great way to do
it. Your child will be introduced to the fundamentals of tennis in a safe
and fun way. The best way for your child to learn tennis is in a group
setting with children of similar age and similar ability. Groups are no
larger than 4 kids which allows for a fair number of games to be played
and also for individual attention from Radu. When placed in a group setting,
young children immediately recognize that their peers face the same challenges
as they do and naturally develop the competitive drive to do better or
to not lag too far behind the other kids in the group. Under Radu's close
supervision, your kids, will develop the necessary hand-eye coordination
to hit the ball over the net to a certain area, and play basic two-on-two
and king of the court games. Basic concepts of proper footwork and technique
such as 'following thru' and the' loop backswing' are introduced early
on, so that by the time your kids are able to hit the ball past the service
line, they will have full blown swings that even an experienced tennis
player would envy.
HUNTING VALLEY Ohio TENNIS LESSONS - for advanced kids
If you live in the Hunting Valley Ohio area and your child has
already had exposure to organized tennis drills - customized tennis lessons
can act as a suplement to your child's training. While group drills are
great for building camaradery and healthy competition amongst kids, it
is during one-on-one private lessons, that your child gets the chance
to hone their technique and build powerful strokes.
During private lessons your child will be challenged to gradually adjust
the way he or she hits the ball, in order to generate the most amount
of pace while preserving ball control. Radu puts great emphasis on countless
repetition of the properly hit stroke and properly executed footwork.
HUNTING VALLEY Ohio TENNIS LESSONS - for beginner adults
If you are an adult living in the Hunting Valley area, looking to get
started playing tennis - taking a private lesson is a great way to get
introduced to the wonderful sport of tennis. You will find that taking
a tennis lesson can be a great work-out. The lots of little steps that
you are required to take between every stroke will end up amounting to
quite a bit of running by the end of the practice. The great advantage
of using a tennis lesson as a workout is that you get so enthralled with
hitting the tennis ball, that you will forget that you are actually doing
a lot of running. By the end of the practice you may end up running a
couple of miles without even knowing it. You'll just feel great and you
can't wait to get back on the tennis court to hit a better ball next time.
HUNTING VALLEY Ohio TENNIS LESSONS - for advanced adults
If you are a seasoned player with years of experience living
in the Hunting Valley area - and are looking to work on a specific aspect
of your game - taking a tennis lesson may be just what you need. I see
a lot of adults who after playing for years find that their game either
no longer improves or it gets a little worst. This happens usually to
players that do nothing but play competitive matches, be they in a USTA
league setting or with friends, these players play only sets. In their
particular case, the players get plenty "match sharp" but because
of the nature of competitive play, they lack the repetition that comes
from working on a particular stroke alone. During a match players tend
to use what works and consequently they get better at whatever stroke
they feel comfortable with and get worse at the stroke they try to avoid.
A perfect case in point is the backhand slice. If you as a player have
no problem hitting a flawless one handed backhand topspin during warmup,
but cannot hit one to save your life when it counts - it just goes to
show that you've successfully conditioned yourself to hit backhand slices
under pressure. In you mind the slice is the only stroke you can control
and thus it is the only stroke you hit when it counts. Never mind the
fact that a slice shot is very weak and can get you in a world of hurt
if the ball is comming at you fast (and in that situation you would be
much better suited to hit a topspin) you continue to put yourself and
your partener (if you play doubles) in harm's way by continually using
an inferior shot. This is one of the situations, that a private lesson
would help tremendeously in increasing your confidence in the topspin
backhand. The thinking behind practicing a shot over and over is that
practice will give you the confidence to hit the right shot under stressful
match situations and if you have success (with the topspin shot that is)
you will gain the confidence necessary to keep repeating the proper stroke
which consequently causes your game to improve.
